Items and Assets

This guide explains how to work with items and assets in the D'n'A Cruises system.

Understanding Items vs Assets​

Items​

Items are types of equipment or materials. They represent what you have in your inventory, but not specific physical pieces.

Examples:

  • "Microphone Shure SM58"
  • "Cable XLR 10m"
  • "LED Par Light"

Items can be:

  • Serialized: Each physical piece has a unique identifier (scan_id)
  • Non-serialized: Generic items tracked by quantity

Konkrétní kusy (Assets)​

Konkrétní kusy jsou specifické fyzické kusy vybavení. Každý konkrétní kus je konkrétní instance itemu.

Příklady:

  • "Microphone Shure SM58 #12345" (konkrétní mikrofon)
  • "Cable XLR 10m #67890" (konkrétní kabel)

Poznámka: V UI se zobrazují jako "Konkrétní kusy" místo "Assets" pro lepší srozumitelnost.

Managing Items (Admin Only)​

Viewing Items​

  1. Navigate to Assets from the main menu
  2. The items list shows all available item types
  3. Use filters to search by name or category

Creating Items​

  1. Click Add Item button
  2. Fill in the form:
    • Name: Item name (e.g., "Microphone Shure SM58")
    • Category: Select from existing categories (např. "Mikrofony", "Kabely", "Světla")
    • Serialized: Check if each piece has a unique ID (QR kód)
    • Notes: Optional description
  3. Click Create

Kategorie:

  • Kategorie slouží k organizaci items do logických skupin
  • Při plánování gearu můžete procházet items podle kategorií
  • Kategorie jsou zobrazovány podle názvu, ne podle čísla

Editing Items​

  1. Find the item in the list
  2. Click Edit
  3. Modify the fields
  4. Click Save

Managing Konkrétní kusy (Assets) (Admin Only)​

Viewing Konkrétní kusy​

  1. Navigate to Konkrétní kusy from the main menu (Admin only)
  2. The table shows all physical pieces
  3. Each asset displays:
    • Scan ID (QR code) - Unikátní identifikátor pro skenování
    • Item name - Název typové karty
    • Owner - ID majitele (pokud je přiřazen)
    • Weight (kg) - Hmotnost v kilogramech
    • Functional status - Stav funkčnosti
    • Availability status - Dostupnost
    • Defects - Závady nebo poznámky
    • Location - Aktuální umístění

Creating Konkrétní kusy​

  1. Click + Nový konkrétní kus button
  2. Fill in the form:
    • Item: Select the item type
    • Scan ID: Unique QR code number (povinné pro serializované items)
    • Owner ID: ID majitele (volitelné)
    • Weight (kg): Hmotnost v kilogramech (volitelné)
    • Functional Status: OK_100, OK_50, NOT_OK
    • Availability Status: AVAILABLE, IN_USE, MAINTENANCE, etc.
    • Notes/Defects: Závady nebo poznámky (volitelné)
    • Location: Aktuální umístění (volitelné)
  3. Click Create

Poznámky:

  • Owner ID: Používá se pro tracking, kdo má asset v držení
  • Weight: Důležité pro plánování přepravy a výpočet celkové váhy
  • Defects: Pole "Notes" se zobrazuje jako "Defects" v tabulce assets

Scanning Assets​

Assets can be scanned using QR codes:

  • Each asset has a unique Scan ID
  • Use the QR scanner in load sessions or inventory
  • The system automatically identifies the asset

Status Types​

Functional Status​

  • OK_100: Fully functional
  • OK_50: Partially functional
  • NOT_OK: Not functional

Availability Status​

  • AVAILABLE: Ready to use
  • IN_USE: Currently in use
  • MAINTENANCE: Under maintenance
  • RESERVED: Reserved for specific project

Best Practices​

  1. Create Items First: Always create the item type before creating konkrétní kusy
  2. Use Clear Names: Use descriptive, consistent naming for items
  3. Track Status: Keep functional and availability status up to date
  4. Scan IDs: Ensure each konkrétní kus has a unique, scannable QR code
  5. Notes: Add notes for special instructions or known issues
